International Summer Courses at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK)

For the first time, the Berlin University of the Arts will open its doors this summer and will present a number of attractive international courses between July 12th and August 4th 2012. The workshops and compact courses address artists of all disciplines, creative professionals and entrepreneurs, cultural mediators and advanced students. All courses will be held in English. Guided by renowned professors of the UdK Berlin and acknowledged visiting professors, participants have the opportunity to have an intensive insight in different fields. While courses will be offered in performing arts and art history a interdisciplinary section the International Summer School of Creative Entrepreneurship (ISSCE) will cover topics in arts management and mediation, business development and marketing focussed on the creative industries, international and intercultural cooperation and networking, thus offering a broader further education. With a range of five workshops the participants are invited to deepen their knowledge in the fields of dramatic writing and storytelling, inter- and transdisciplinary working or special aspects of art history, guided by renowned professors of the UdK Berlin and brilliant visiting professors like Heidi Dahlsveen, David Spencer or the famous performance group She She Pop. The courses are open to artists, creative entrepreneurs and advanced students. The ISSCE 2012 presents fourteen different events and introductory workshops related to various fields: financing theatre projects, art education, networking, teambuilding and cooperation, career planning, leadership, self marketing, e.a. This interdisciplinary qualification program is offered by the Career College of the UdK Berlin. International renowned experts guarantee high quality workshops. The workshops and compact courses are open to artists from all disciplines, designers and creative entrepreneurs.
